Mackenzie Grimm has been coaching the SHS Dance Team for the past 9 years.  Under her direction, the team has achieved the titles of 2x State Champions, 2x State Runner-Ups, 20x State Qualifiers, and 14x top 5 State placers.  Coach Grimm developed the SHS dance program from a club performing solely at halftime of basketball games to a highly-competitive title-holding Varsity sport.  Her professional dance background includes dancing professionally for the NBA as a Cleveland Cavalier Girl, AHL as a Monster Hockey Girl (Captain), and ballet companies as professional ballerina dancing principal roles.  She has also taught and choreographed for over 18 years at 7 different local dance studios, specializing in dance technique and choreo cleaning.  Her extensive dance training includes training at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC, and Ohio Conservatory of Ballet. Coach Grimm is also a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Cheer Coach for Strongsville City Schools. She earned her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from Kent State University and also holds a minor in Dance.
